2nd Annual Paul Overly Memorial Reunion

It’s that time of year again to start planning the 2021 Paul Overly Memorial Reunion for the USS Des Moines sailors. I would like to get a count on how many sailors and wives are interested in having a reunion this year.

Hope everyone is doing fine.  Sorry I didn’t send anything out sooner since I was trying to see what was going on with the virus.   I had the virus the day after Christmas.  I had a hard time with it and was hospitalized for 5 days; I recovered and was off work for 3 weeks.  I am good now.
I am willing to have the reunion at my house this year.   If you are interested send me a message to my phone.  My phone number is (724) 734-3134. We still have some funds left from last year to get it going but I am going to ask for donations this year.  Hope to hear from you all real soon.

Valerie's Quick Video of the Quincy Visit last fall -

Bonjour Shipmates,

Not sure how many of you have seen this, so if you have,
you see it again.  A lot took place during those three days!!

If you have a question please provide the time stamp and
I will attempt to answer your question.  Please be advised
for all the folks in attendance, very few had on name tags.

There was a large contingent from the USS Newport News.

One can go to Google Earth and put in Quincy MA,
Zoom in and find the bridge east on highway 3A at the Fore River.
The Round-a-bout is west of the bridge.  The Salem is
south of the bridge.

Enjoy,  Ciao           Lou  Lockwood
